Lazlo the Justiciar sits behind the boss in the Royal Crypt of Mammon. That crypt is a late stop. Reach High Lord’s Courtyard through the mines, walk to the back of the courtyard, then stay on the path into the crypt.
Do not look for this body on the Widow’s Overlook loop. Proxima and Tiel own that hour. Sariel is the other late named Shell.

Route to Lazlo
- Work through the mines until you can stand in High Lord’s Courtyard.
- Go to the back of the courtyard.
- Stay on that path. Do not peel off into side rooms to hunt the Shell.
- Enter the Royal Crypt of Mammon. The location card is the name to trust.
- Beat the boss in that crypt.
- Inhabit Lazlo directly behind that fight.
Boss names on this route are not listed beyond the crypt. The card and the body behind the fight are the locks that matter.
When not to hunt Lazlo
Skip this route while you are still opening Gloomshade Grove for Eredrim or filling pools for Smert. Skip it if you only want a first Seal and a first Shell.
Shell points refund. Glimpses spent to deepen Lazlo do not. Take the tree to the Shellkeeper at Marrowkeep.
