Mortal Shell 2 New Game Plus: Send Over After the Final Boss

New Game Plus starts after the final boss. Use the Gloom Siphon in Marrowkeep, choose Send Over, and keep your Shells, weapons, and currencies.

How Send Over starts the next cycle

Current for the launch version.

Send Over starts New Game Plus. Beat Zmey, walk Marrowkeep if leftovers remain, then use the Gloom Siphon. The kill itself is not the next cycle.

This is the next cycle. It is not the Baghead offering, and it is not the final boss page.

  1. Finish Zmey, the Unbidden.
  2. Return to Marrowkeep. The keep is still yours. Clean up first if you want.
  3. Use the Gloom Siphon in the keep — the same siphon that unlocks Mother’s Breath.
  4. Choose Send Over. That is the start of New Game Plus.

Do not hunt a second menu. Night Mode is a roof lantern, not this prompt.

The second cycle opens most of the map. If the first run was slow, you already have the kit and can walk straight at the bosses.

What New Game Plus is for

The first run usually maxes about two or three Shells. All eight playable Shells can be used in one run if you find them. New Game Plus is the clean way to finish the rest of the bodies and pick up leftover achievements.

Solnir Stillblade in a red-leaf arena, a later named fight that comes back when dungeons reset

Fights get a little harder. If you already beat the first run, you should be fine. The spoken story beat is thin — an excuse to iterate, not a new ending.

A 100% run still has only a few missables. Two sit at the very start and can be retried on a fresh file. One is a boss that must be parried; killing that boss first locks the achievement on that run, and it can wait for New Game Plus.

What this cycle is not

Common mistakes

  • Treating the final-boss kill as New Game Plus. The siphon prompt is the start.
  • Skipping cleanup. You can still walk Marrowkeep before Send Over.
  • Expecting a new ending. This cycle is another pass, not a hidden finale.
  • Calling Gloom farming a New Game Plus guide. Later areas on the first run are not this page.

New Game Plus FAQ

Does killing the final boss start New Game Plus?

No. Killing Zmey sends you back to Marrowkeep. Send Over starts the cycle.

Is this a new ending?

No. The documented offering is still Baghead. New Game Plus is another loop.

Do I lose my Shells?

No. Unlocked Shells and their memories stay. The first run usually only maxes two or three of the eight.

Is Night Mode the same thing?

No. Night Mode is the Gloom-bound Flame on the keep roof.

Should I start a new file for missables?

Only for the two early ones. The parry-on-a-boss missable can wait for this cycle.
