Mortal Shell 2 Glimpses: Shell Bond and the Hidden Merchant
Glimpses deepen a Shell and do not refund. Buy them from a hidden Outskirts of Mammon merchant, then spend them at the Shellkeeper.
What Glimpses are for

A Glimpse deepens the Shell you are wearing. It does not refund. Shell points on that body’s talent tree can be moved later. Gloom farms belong on another page. This page is the limited currency.
Spend Glimpses at the Shellkeeper in Marrowkeep for the seven named Shells. Talking to Sester in the outskirts can deepen the bond on the current body. Those are two desks.
Where to buy Glimpses
A hidden merchant in the Outskirts of Mammon sells Glimpse for gold.
- From Marrowkeep, take the lift up and turn back to reach the first Outskirts beacon early.
- From that beacon, go forward, take the right, cross the bridges, and watch for bear traps. Use the traversal jumps.
- Light Gate of Mammon.
- Turn around, climb the ramp and stairs, and find the merchant on the left.
Nearby enemies can hit you during the talk. Have gold before you run. One shown stock also held Dorsalite, Laterite, Galvanic Charge, Blood Seed, and bent effigies. Buying the shelf out did not restock on that visit. There is no extra quest line in the talk.
Do not kill the merchant on a guess. Whether he returns is not documented.
Glimpses also appear as loot. One early coffin next to an Auspicious Stone held a Glimpse on that run. Treat that as a drop, not a farm.
How to spend them
Take Glimpses to the Shellkeeper after you already inhabit a named Shell. One or two bond steps on Tiel or Proxima unlock an ability without emptying the purse on a body you will drop.
Do not spend Glimpses to “respec.” That job is Shell points.
Common mistakes
- Spending Glimpses like Shell points. Only the tree refunds.
- Confusing this merchant with Merrick. Merrick sits in the keep and buys junk.
- Mixing Glimpse with Gloom. Gloom is the death pile. Glimpse is the bond token.
- Publishing a guessed merchant name. The desk is the Outskirts seller. That is enough.
